It is true that flowering of a tree is weakened a little. But pine candles are also very delicate when grown, and sometimes the flower buds can be smaller and smaller weaker media. Taking the flower buds off can actually damage shoot. And any damage we do to them, therefore, is rather a double burden, the first with the energy needed to make the flower, and the second to repair the damage in removing them.

Some years pines will flower more than others. Not much to do about trees often seem to agree that years to flourish.

Easy, right? Leave them alone. Better than a lot of work, by far … and there are a number of other things we should do instead.
