For those curious about my visits to many bonsai gardens Kyushu, the answer is simple – Daisaku Nomoto. In addition to hosting the part of Kyushu my recent visit to Japan, a long time friend and teacher Nomoto designed an itinerary to satisfy my interest in developing bonsai from zero. So instead of visiting some of the major collections in the area, we focus on a handful of the most interesting gardens in which you could see development techniques closely and ask any question that came to mind. This very thoughtful planning made for an exceptional visit – for this, thanks Daisaku

Of course, many of these visits focused on the development of techniques for black pine bonsai!. Nomoto, who was apprenticed to Kihachiro Kamiya, is well known for his work pine. Here are some of the black pines in your nursery Miyazaki, Nomoto Chinshou-in.

As is typical of nurseries belonging to the professions of bonsai, many of the best pines in the garden belonged to customers Nomoto. With the rest, Nomoto is free to do whatever you want. And as there is never enough time to give full attention to each tree, even the brief tour of the nursery provided time Nomoto to reflect on future plans for a number of trees in your garden, as interesting pine below .
