do not usually see hinoki cypress forests bonsai, and I do not expect to see several hinoki forest bonsai in the same exposure. The recent exposure Taikan-ten in Kyoto, Japan, had four of them.

I like hinoki bonsai because often they are styled in the abstract forms with silhouettes that resemble full-size trees seen from a distance.

Seeing several of these forests in the same exhibition provides a good opportunity to compare different approaches to the provision of the branch, the arrangement of the trunk and the angle of sowing and silhouette.
