What to do when you see fumagina in bonsai?

  • find out what is creating molasses
    • If it is coming from an overhead tree in the garden, consider moving the bonsai far from the tree infested
    • If you are coming scale, aphids or other insects in bonsai itself, treat insects with insecticidal soap, oils, pesticides contact and / or systemic pesticides
