Tsutomu Nomoto Nomoto began Chinshou-in on his birthday in 1973. Bonsai had been a family pastime for generations but it was not until Tsutomu away of veterinary medicine – the default line work for your family – that hobby became a business. Tsutomu Nakanishi studied at Chinshou-in in the district of bonsai Kinashi of Shikoku (more on “Nakanishi Chinshoen”). After his apprenticeship, Tsutomu Miyazaki returned to his native and opened Nomoto Chinshou-in.

I learned Chinshou-Nomoto is the son of Tsutomu, Daisaku. Daisaku was one of senpai Boon Manakitivipart in Aichi prefecture-in Kihachi. Today, Daisaku runs the family business with his father. Here are some of the works of Daisaku.

inside the shop kindergarten is one tokonoma. It was full, the day of my visit, with a needle juniper, travel and accent.
In addition to many pines and chojubai the nursery were a variety of other trees.
