Summer is an interesting bonsai in calendar time. If you have a lot to do or not it depends on what you have in your yard. If you only have black pine has decandled almost you can hire someone to water and take a break of two months. If you only have fir, which is almost the same. If you have deciduous and juniper leaves, however, there is always something to do …

Summer can be put to time, too. It is a good time to clear the dead wood and live in the veins of juniper. These pictures are from my apprentice, Bobby, doing just that in a Rocky Mountain Juniper this week. Next week will be a great hairstyle juniper, and I’ll post some pictures of that adventure soon …
