Although this point of the seed needed six years, in many ways, this was the easiest part of the process. cork bark can not be bent as regular black pines that means I have a chance to do the wiring and the selection of the right branch. Sometime during the next year, I will thin these trees, select leaders, and wire the branches. Meanwhile, I’ll make sure they get plenty of sunlight, water and fertilizer.
